Qualis NDT was formed as an alternative to huge publicly-owned corporations that have taken over the NDT industry. We are a small, nimble company specializing in advanced Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and Level III consulting services with the main focus being quality as well as personal attentive service to our clients. Hence the name, Qualis, which is Latin for quality.
Qualis NDT technicians have formal training and education in NDT. They are qualified through multiple third party organizations, including the American Petroleum Institute (API), the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), the Shell Oil Company and Chevron.

Our passions lie with advanced Ultrasonic Testing (UT) . Qualis NDT is made up of technicians who have been involved in advanced UT their entire careers. They are trained on how to correctly apply the current codes and standards, and have passed some of the most rigorous ultrasonic qualification exams in the industry. Our technicians are also involved in industry organization committee's (such as ASME), to help further the implementation of advanced UT methods into the codes and standards.
Advanced UT offers the unique ability to detect, characterize and height-size flaws. During unit shutdowns and critical projects, the quality of work and amount of inspection time become the demanding components to success. When compared to Radiographic Testing (RT), advanced UT has a greater probability to detect critical planar flaws, it reduces inspection time and it cuts the overall inspection cost, since there are no radiation hazards involved, all the craft in the area can continue to work while the examinations are being performed.
